Our Story
Since our founding in 1948, Vulcan Rifle Club has served the sports and recreation needs of Newton-le-Willows.

We are a friendly smallbore target shooting club shooting a variety of disciplines: prone rifle, benchrest, air rifles & pistols, lightweight sporting rifle and long barrel pistols.
​
The club is open Tuesdays and Wednesday evenings between 19:00 - 21:30, Thursdays 14:00 - 17:00 and Sundays 12:00 - 14:30 (air rifles only on Sunday).

We are not currently taking new members at this time. Please check back here at a later date.

Small Bore Rifle Club
Vulcan Rifle Club promotes safe target shooting. We are a Home Office approved small bore rifle club. We have been operating at the old Vulcan Engine Works for more than seventy years. Our excellent facilities are available for new members once approved.
Facilities Available
Vulcan Rifle Club has five points for target shooting and we have facilities for disabled shooting and benchrest shooting.

The club has club rifles available for members to use free of charge.
​
The club has two NRA qualified instructors, Mike & Ollie, who are always happy to help coach.
​
Ammunition is available for purchase from the club, at reasonable prices. Paper targets can be purchased from the club for 15p each.
